ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Kimberly Edwards Russell was born in Alexandria, Virginia and grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior at a young age. She was a dedicated member at Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church for over 18 years under pastorate of the late Dr. Frederick S. Jones.

In 1996 she served in ministry under the leadership of Pastor Anthony K. Edwards at the Christian House of Prayer. It was there that she served as secretary and Evangelism Outreach Leader. She was later married and ventured out alongside her husband and established Word of Power Ministries with Pastor Johnny L. & Velvet Abram as overseers, Harvest Assembly Baptist Church.  First Lady/Pastor Kimberly has been on the battlefield for the Lord a long-time. She began ministers training and was licensed in 2005 then was licensed and ordained June 13, 2010 in Word of Power Ministries. 

Mentored by great men in the faith, the late World known Evangelist Morris Cerullo by impartation placed the Elijah mantle on Pastor Kimberly.  Healings began to manifest through prayer. Pastor Benny Hinn during a private meeting of 50 people in Arlington Virginia prophesied her ministry to the Nations and sparked fire to continue preaching after her unexpected and most unfortunate divorce in 2010. Dr. Claudette Williams was also an instrumental vessel used by God in her life during that time.  

By the leading of the Holy Spirit Pastor Kimberly founded and established Kimberly Kindred Ministries, with Bishop Camille Ross Johnson as overseer in February 2011.  She later experienced so much healing in the services that she developed the Healing and Deliverance Service.    It was amazing to experience the Lord's touch as many were healed during her services.  Today, she is most known for her ministry on WBGR,  "Word of Power Hour" on ROkU Television, Facebook and YouTube.

Pastor Kimberly began serving in the Covenant Connector Ministry & Prayer team led under the Directorate of Apostles Tony & Cynthia Brazelton, Victory Christian Ministries International in 2012, where she continues with them in prayer.  Pastor Kimberly joined the Covenant Global Consortium under the Leading of Apostle Timothy L. and Lady Joey Warren in 2020 and was consecrated into the Bishopric as the International Director of Intercessory Prayer April 30, 2021. 

Bishop Kimberly retired after 27 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and she attended Strayer University and The USDA Graduate School in Washington DC. She is a devoted leader, and a loving mother. She lives a lifestyle pleasing to God and she loves God’s people. She has a passion for teaching bible study, feeding & witnessing to the homeless.

Bishop Kimberly is a humble woman of God who remains teachable.  She is also an entrepreneur of several independent businesses.  In 2015, she became a Life, Health & Annuities licensed distributer.  She currently trades in the Forex Market, Gold & Silver, owns a travel agency and feels this is an extended part of ministry because she is able to help change the lives of families. In closing, the Bishop enjoys being an election official for Prince William County.
